1 out of 5 stars Junk Beyond Belief   August 15, 2010

My son gathered up his money to purchase this toy on his own. The pictures looked awesome. The item showed up, and it was smaller than expected. BUT - OK, that always happens, right? Well, then... My son is super careful with all of his toys. He took it to our local pool. He played for it BY HIMSELF for 5 minutes, as I watched. The first 3 minutes it worked fine. THEN, he picked it out of the water and walked it over to me. It was making a horrible "hissing" sound. I jostled batteries, tried all sorts of things, but the bottom line - -it stopped working, ALREADY!!! I have never seen a toy crap out so fast in my life. My poor little guy had tears in his eyes because he spent his money on this. I returned it the next day via mail (I still had the box and all packing materials). Our refund barely covered our shipping costs to/fro. Terrible!

1 out of 5 stars Did not work!   August 12, 2010

Great Idea! But did not work for me. Turned it on set it in the water and the engines dies immediately. Kept on trying but would not work in the water. I might have a defective one. I might order another to try again or get a different one altogether.

4 out of 5 stars fun in the pool!   August 8, 2010

I purchased this submarine for my 4 year old and 40 year old! Works well in the pool! Moves fast but doesn't stay submerged for long. Keeps floating up to the surface. Can do barrel rolls though which is pretty cool! Only gripe is the battery case is a little difficult to get on/off. I would reccomend this toy for sure! Fun for all ages!

5 out of 5 stars Father's Day Pool Toy   June 27, 2010

My wife and daughter gave this to me for a Father's day present. It is lots of fun, and works great in the pool. It claims to have a depth limit of four feet, and it does lose radio signals at that depth. However it comes up toward the surface and starts where it left off. Our pool skimmer is the "sub pen," and it is fun to make the sub go in turn around and then come out on a "mission." A great gift for big kids too.

Bought this for my son to use in our pool, it worked fine the first day and has not worked since. Removed batteries and let it dry (per instructions) will only run if remote is 3 in or less from sub. DO NOT BUY !
