| Customer Reviews: Great fun! Survives just about anything March 17, 2010 David Rudisill 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this a month or so ago and have flown it virtually every day since then (retirement is great). Flying it out in the desert, I have crashed it hundreds of times, and it's still flying.
Yesterday, one of the canards on the the front broke when I crashed it, so I used a box cutter to remove both of them. It is MUCH easier to fly now. It doesn't have as much lift, but that means it doesn't porpoise in the slightest breeze and it doesn't get blown around as easily. With those little wings on, it was uncontrollable in the slightest breeze. Now I can fly it in a light breeze because it can fly into the wind without trying to climb straight up. I wish I had cut them off as soon as I got it.
This is just about the most fun you can buy for $[...]. Other geezers see me flying it and always want to know where they can get one.
Does not really fly well February 25, 2010 Yevgen Ostroukhov (Kyiv, Ukraine) In my country we had similar planes (i.e. even the R/c controller is exactly the same) but sold under different brand. My son loved that plane so the first thing I ordered him was this plane.
It really flies much worse then the other one. The problem with that one was not to let it go too high or it can fly anywhere. This one requires a lot of effort so he flies more then 10m.
We got used to it and now we can keep it flying - but the fun is much less.
Note: I think there's slight chance that there is some plane-specific problem (i.e. engines not aligned well, etc) - but I don't have another plane to compare with. If you are buying RC plane I would recommend Air Hogs one (they are really well-made) but choose a different model (even in the same price range).
Great little airplane January 1, 2010 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
From my four year old son, who finds this plane super-easy and fun to fly:
"This was easy for me to fly. It has to be flown with no wind at all. It's very easy to control. I want to fly it every day with no wind."
I love it and plan to buy another, when it breaks. October 14, 2009 Ran Boz (Virginia) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This aircraft is a lot of fun, great flight time per charge (about ten minutes or more) and very durable. I haven't been able to break it yet over flying it almost daily for the last two months. My six year old son is a little young to fly it, but he loves to chase after it and throw it for me to control in flight. In fact, I flew it at his school and all the kids loved to chase after it and asked where they could get one.
Although it can be flown in doors in a large area, it really needs to be flown outside. It flies well out of the box. However, I found it flies even better outside (less porpoising at high speeds) if the two forward winglets are removed.
I've smashed it into concrete, retrieved it from roof tops, slammed it into walls, and the thing still flies great. A little scotch tape fixes the bends or breaks with no problem.
Have fun!
